"Ollie, Ollie, Oxen Free" Story Slam Home
Storytelling Extraordinaire! March 29, 2008 6 to 9 p.m. Old School House Lakewood Heritage Center
Ten storytellers tell a 5-7 minute story, competing for fabulous prizes. Storytellers engage in friendly competition and are judged by three prominent individuals from outside the storytelling community. All this falderal is in honor of Elm Farm Ollie, the first cow milked while flying in an airplane. The milk was sealed in paper containers and parachuted over St. Louis, Missouri.
The "Ollie, Ollie Oxen Free" Story Slam is produced and directed by Sunny Marie Hackman and Cheri Seeton, two professional storytellers from Denver, Colorado.
Sponsored by The Whole Foods Market Lakewood Heritage Center
